THE SHETLAND PONY GRAND NATIONAL RAISED THE FUNDS…
This years Shetland Pony Grand National at the Grand Hall Olympia was to be one of the best fundraisers for many years. The London Olympia Horse Show was sold out despite our credit crunch situation and the atmosphere was electric the best for many years.3 ponies from Brompton on Swales’ Knix Stud qualified and were ridden by Bethany Slinger (Riccalton Snowberry); Christie Short (Knix Grand Bobby-Jo) and new girl Courtney Watling on old campaigner Eastlands Mighty Mark. All the children were honoured by being introduced to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall who is a great supporter of our cause.
The charity this year and for the past few years was Gt. Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and the final cheque was presented for £19,500.

On 29th November all the jockeys from Knix Stud had a mega fundraiser by bag packing at Tescos Catterick Garrison supported by lead rein pony Riccalton Lucky and bookmaker William Hill and £1224 was raised in 4 hours and another £164.32 from the outside collection boxes for which we thank the people of Catterick and Richmond so very much.
