Here at Knix Stud we breed quality standard broken coloured Shetland Ponies for all spheres covering Wells and Lakeland bred mares with Island bred stallions to produce these ponies with bone, size and substance.

Visitors to the stud are always welcome. We are situated just off the A1 very near to Scotch Corner, Teeside is 20 minutes away and Newcastle airport is only 1 hour from us. Just contact us and we will give you further details of how to get here.

THE SHETLAND PONY GRAND NATIONAL RAISED THE FUNDS…

This years Shetland Pony Grand National at the Grand Hall Olympia was to be one of the best fundraisers for many years.  The London Olympia Horse Show was sold out despite our credit crunch situation and the atmosphere was electric the best for many years.

Local Team Raise Huge Sum

The jockeys from the Shetland Pony Grand National Yorkshire team based at Brompton on Swale had a mega fund raiser for Gt. Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children  Charity on Saturday at Tesco Catterick Garrison supported by William Hill = bookmakers who provide the 10 qualifying ponies with rugs to wear at the London International Horse Show at Olympia this year from 17-22nd December 2008.  The girls brightly clad in their racing silks had a bag pack and raised £1220. in their specially decorated buckets and the best bucket was won by Courtney Stanley from Richmond  who is in her first year of racing and is loving it.

Bridge the Gap Project 6 October 2007

The weather couldn't have been better for our Bridge the Gap day very kindly attended by William Hague MP for Richmond who has given his whole-hearted support for the scheme.

There were plenty of people turned up together with Parish and County Councillors, cyclists, representatives from the local Busy Bees Pre-School group and Eastlands Mighty Mark and Knix Grand Bobby Jo with their riders Lauren Taylor and Rebecca Shepherd from KNIX STUD - representing horse and pony riders in the area.

SO PLEASE LOOKOUT FOR THE TV VOTE AND VOTE FOR "BRIDGE THE GAP"scheme.
